Every winter, as the weather cools down, I pull out all my dark clothes. Dark sweaters, dark skirts, dark jeans, black boots, dreary coats… It’s the same thing, every year! This winter, as 2013 rolls into a new year of optimism and possibility, I decided I wasn’t feeling the somber vibe of years past.

Winter 2014 is all about color! Soft colors, pastels, muted greys and winter whites… Even these super-comfy, animal-print skinny jeans from Vault Denim are subtle, but no less meow-hot than darker prints! And you know what? That post-Christmas blah I’m used to feeling around this time, simply isn’t happening! So forget the “no white after Labor Day” rule of ages past; this is a new era, and I, for one, plan to sail sweetly through a light and bright Winter Wonderland this year!

  1. I got a dual layer coat out of layaway last February and so far I’ve had to wear another layer over it as it has been wholly inadequite and a waste of 65 dollars…on top of that the material was not of good quality and it was torn from the closet before I even had worn it the first time. However, yours will be a great idea when Ocean Shores or Spanaway reach 55F again. Winter at the beach is cool.
