Authentic vintage hats, purses, & gloves at Serendipty Boutique

Photos taken on my iPhone with Cellfy Stic!
I stopped by Serendipity Boutique a couple weeks ago, while searching for vintage outfit pieces to wear in a “Winter Wonderland” photoshoot with Ammophotog. This place blew me away! For the previous 30 years, the boutique was called Nearly Nu, and was primarily a consignment store. In March 2013, the owner Louise May sold it to Nadine Nicolayeff-Woods, an Idaho Falls native who dreamed of running her own store since high school.
Nadine completely revamped the place to make it her own! From her time spent in Seattle working at the Red Light resale store on Capitol Hill, she brought her passion for vintage clothing into the boutique, stocking it full of fashions ranging from the early 1900’s, to now. Her goal: to have the widest variety of clothing available, and be a fun shopping experience for men and women of all ages! Serendipity is still a modern consignment boutique… but so much more!
I had a BLAST shopping in Nadine’s store! (Can you tell from the photos?) Her husband Darren Woods owns the barber shop right next door, and brought us empenadas from up the street to munch on while we chatted about her story. Thanks, Darren! The prices at Serendipity Boutique are incredible – $20 faux fur coats and the Christian Dior vintage couture hat pictured above was only $16! – and the clothes are high-quality and clean. My final pick was a stunning tea-length cream jacket, circa 1960, which I wore in the Winter Wonderland shoot here. Isn’t is lovely? Truly pulled the entire look together.
Thank you for creating such a fun, adventurous shopping experience, Nadine! Your boutique is a very unique – and welcome! – addition to the Treasure Valley.
XOXO,
Tanya
Photographers & models, take special note: Serendipity is one of the few places in town where you can find authentic vintage clothing, that Nadine will let you borrow for photo shoots and fashion shows! Just be prepared to leave a credit card or cash down for collateral.

P.S. I was not paid or given any compensation for writing about Serendipity. I had such a fun time in Nadine’s store, I told her, “I’m going to write about you; people need to know how cool this place is! Mind if I take pictures?” And she let me. (Well, I guess I did accept an empenada, but it’s long-gone in my tummy now, so it can’t be held against me, ha ha!)
I want to go here! But only if you go with me! Shopping with you is so much fun! And shopping with you at Serendipity Boutique sounds like the most fun a girl can have – shopping!!! 😉
Love you Bunches…

Went there recently to find an outfit for a 70’s work party. Sent a bunch of my coworkers and sold her out of polyester shirts! I got the sweetest note from Nadine the other day! I love that place and will be back. Oh, and I found the coolest vintage full length faux leopard print coat that completed my 70’s look.
