Travel Spotlight: Twisted Couture in Leavenworth

When I travel, I love to search for fashions & style that are special and unique. I found all that – and more! – when I recently visited Leavenworth, WA with Snow Bunny Magazine!

As the Chief Fashion Editor, it was my job to investigate the shopping, food, and culture of downtown Leavenworth. (Have I mentioned before how much I love my work???) After a day of fun adventures, which you can read all about in our Resorts Review section of Snow Bunny Magazine, we found a fabulous treasure of a store: Twisted Couture! Alissa, the store’s owner, was about to close shop, but kindly stayed open to let us browse around and ask about her story.

Twisted Couture seriously impressed the heck out of me. To begin with, the store is bright, open, and brilliantly decorated. From the chandeliers to paper dragonfly chains across the windows, every tiny corner of this store is meticulously gorgeous! On top of that, every clothing piece in Twisted Couture is spot-on fashion-forward. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kate Moss or Alexa Chung emerge from the dressing rooms, clad in head-to-toe chic trend pieces!

Alissa is a Leavenworth native, and has impeccable taste in selecting items for her boutique. She told us that in the short time she’s been open, the community has embraced her store more than she ever imagined! Locals shop there frequently, and women travel from around the area – even Seattle, which is 2 hours away! – to see what she has in stock. She sells through her inventory so quickly, she has to travel to market for more purchases every two weeks!

The ladies at Snow Bunny Magazine had a great time shopping in Twisted Couture. We all found things we LOVED, and will definitely shop there again next time we’re in Leavenworth! Or maybe sooner… Who’s up for a road trip, Snow Bunnies?
